Stay up-to-date with NASM! Many people have set resolutions for the new year to improve their health and fitness. Although it is great to have specific goals for your health and fitness, many people go to great lengths to achieve them. People often try new diets or workout trends and end up exhausting their physical and mental energy.
These goals can lead to failure or quitting altogether. This is why I suggest you abandon unrealistic goals and aim to alter your lifestyle.
You will see health and fitness more as a lifestyle than a hobby or challenge for 30 days, and you will develop positive habits that will help you in many other areas of your life.
A healthy lifestyle can encourage creativity, and teach you adaptability, balance, and discipline.
It’s more than just AESTHETICS
Fitness and health are more than just about the way.
You look at how you eat or how much you lift at the gym. They’re about:
The way you feel.
Your psychological state.
You are more energetic and more able to do physical activities when you’re healthy. Walking your dog, hiking, and paddleboarding are all possible. These activities can make a huge difference in your life and impact the quality of your experience.

Here are some tips to help you get started in your health and wellness journey.
FIND EXERCISE THAT YOU ENJOY
It is crucial to be consistent in your exercise routine. It’s not worth it to do exercises that you don’t like and leave you feeling exhausted, both physically and emotionally. It’s better to find exercises that you enjoy and can do for a long time, even if they are not the most intense. Inconsistent, low-intensity exercises will always win over inconsistent, high-intensity exercises.
WHEN IT COMES TO ACHIEVING YOUR PHYSICAL GOALS, BE PATIENT
Keep in mind that results take time. Take it easy.
It is not easy to be successful. You must learn to love the process and the person.
You will be throughout your journey.
DON’T GIVE UP ON FOODS YOU LOVE
I believe in the power of food and will never give up on it.
You love what you do. Find a way that you can make your favorite foods more nutritious. Pizza is your favorite food?
Don’t let go of your favorite food. You will feel deprived. Get it!
Use creative ideas and clean ingredients to create your healthy version.
DO NOT COMPETE WITH ANYONE
This is your life, your journey. No two people.
You are all the same so don’t compare yourself with others. You are the best you can be.
Every day, get up and strive to be better than yesterday.
TRY NEW THINGS
Get out of your comfort zone. Take a friend to a new class and try different foods. It’s easy to experiment with new foods and learn about different vegetables by shopping according to what’s available. Try it out if you’ve never meal prepped before. You will be more motivated to live a life that is both interesting and permanent if you step outside your comfort zone.
Helping clients make positive behavioral changes is what you want to do.
